Our client, a prominent organisation within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis in Staffordshire for a period of 6 months. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to complex and high-value projects within the maritime industry.

• Hybrid working - 2-3 days a week onsite in Rugeley
• Due to the nature of the role, we are only able to consider sole British nationals.
• Inside IR35, rates are open to discussion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinating project management activities across multiple complex projects
• Leading a large cross-functional project team to ensure successful project delivery
• Reporting to the Programme Manager and ensuring alignment with project goals
• Taking a leading role in bid activities and project proposals
• Managing project timelines, resources, and budgetary constraints
• Ensuring compliance with defence and security standards and protocols
• Identifying and mitigating project risks effectively
• Communicating project progress and updates to stakeholders

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in project management within the Defence & Security sector
• Proven track record of delivering complex and high-value projects successfully
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to take initiative and lead bid activities
• Understanding of defence and security standards and protocols
• Relevant project management qualifications or equivalent experience
