Job description

• Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of traffic and transport infrastructure projects.

• Ensure the council meets all duties under the GLA Act (1999) for the Local Implementation Plan for Transport (2019-2041).

• Liaise with TfL and GLA to ensure duties, including financial monitoring and reporting, are competently and timely discharged.

• Directly manage a Capital Works Delivery Team.

• Provide advice to senior managers and Councillors on team matters.

• Develop effective partnerships with internal departments and external bodies like TfL and GLA to advance team objectives.

• Represent the team and Council at external meetings and conduct necessary site visits.

• Maintain a good understanding of engineering practices in urban traffic project design and pursue professional development opportunities.

• Lead project management, scheme development, and budget control within the post's remit.
