Our client is a leading company in the industry and renowned for their involvement with the delivery of Electrical, Mechanical, Fire and Telecommunication services on Infrastructure Projects throughout the UK. They are currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their team.
OVERVIEW:
As an Assistant Project Manager you will be responsible for helping deliver the Mechanical, Electrical and Power aspects on the Birmingham New Street project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting with the delivery of mechanical, electrical and power projects (in particular, Birmingham New Street Station).
- You will be supporting the Project Manager and Director to help develop the working teams to safely deliver the project on time and on budget.
- Ensuring the projects are delivered safely and of a high quality in line with rail infrastructure standards and procedures.
- Dealing with clients and other key stake holders.
- Providing support to leadership.
- Developing the clients brief, delivering strategy and leading the design management, procurement and execution of the scheme.
REQUIREMENTS:
- To have a knowledge of Network Rail Asset Management Plan process (AMP) is essential.
- Previously have worked in station environments.
- Understand the commercial side of a project (cost, budget, margins etc.)
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ideal to have experience in assisting with the delivery of projects or show the capability.
- Ideal to have either a mechanical or electrical background.
