Job description

Our client, a notable FinTech firm headquartered in London, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their Madrid office. The company, recognised as a top European FinTech to work for, offers products such as FX risk management, trade finance, currency accounts, international payments, and API integration. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance the next iteration of the Client platform's services, including new product delivery and automation of existing systems
• Collaborate with team members and engineering leaders to design new services and components using the Request For Comments (RFC) process
• Own the full lifecycle of the products you build, from development to ongoing maintenance
• Develop complex web applications using Python/Django & Node.js for the backend and React/VueJS for the frontend
• Communicate ideas clearly and concisely in English with a global team
• Construct and manage services, establish standard APIs, and integrate external systems with monitoring and alerting services
• Containerise code and add monitoring and alerting to services
• Ensure high test coverage and quality of code using Jenkins pipelines and terraform for CI and deployment
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and practices

Job Requirements:

• Understanding of basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and best-practice patterns
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in applying AI to practical technology solutions
• Proficiency with TypeScript, Vue 3, TailwindCSS, PostCSS, Webpack, Jest, Cypress, Storybook
• Knowledge of Python3, Django, PostgreSQL, Redis, Rest APIs
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, and databases
• Ability to create testable code with comprehensive unit and integration tests
• SQL knowledge is a plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a global context
