Job description

Manufacturing company is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team at their Wimborne facility. This is a temp to perm role and is an excellent opportunity for a skilled turner or miller, with the position based on the night shift from Monday to Wednesday. The night shift starts at 5:30 pm and finishes at 6:45 am, totalling 37.5 hours per week, with overtime readily available upon management agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set, and operate CNC machines using Mazak and/or Fanuc controls
  • Handle medium to high complexity components
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and work to tight limits
  • Operate within an AS9100 quality management environment
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure production targets are met
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in CNC programming, with preferred knowledge of Mazak and/or Fanuc controls
  • Ability to work with medium to high complexity components
  • Capable of working to tight limits and maintaining accuracy
  • Understanding of AS9100 quality management standards
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the CNC machining sector
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Willingness to work night shifts (Monday to Wednesday, 5:30 pm to 6:45 am)

Contract Details:

  • 37.5 hours per week, with overtime available upon management agreement
  • Competitive hourly rate, with night shift premium paid at 1.33 times the basic rate
