Job description

Our client, a hyper-growth FinTech firm and one of the top 15 European FinTechs to work for, is currently seeking a React Native Engineer to join their team in Madrid. We need to fill two positions with different levels of experience: one senior (up to 75K) and one mid-level (up to 50K).

Our client offers a range of products including FX risk management, trade finance, currency accounts, international payments and API integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the overall company and digital goals with purposeful development efforts
• Own the React Native mobile app development and deployment
• Manage and coach junior developers
• Collaborate across disciplines to test hypotheses and deliver new app functionality and experiences
• Stay up to date with the latest mobile development practices, tools, and frameworks
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and bugs
• Maintain code quality, organisation, and automation

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience in software development with a portfolio of released mobile applications
• Demonstrable track record as a React Native Engineer
• Experience in either Java/Kotlin Android development or Objective C/Swift iOS development
• Understanding of the deployment lifecycle for both Android Play Store and iOS App Store
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services
• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
• Proficient with code versioning tools such as Git
• Commitment to writing testable and well-covered code with unit and integration tests
• Experience analysing and optimising UI and infrastructure application code
• Good appreciation of security best practices
• Experience in Financial Services and/or FinTech is an advantage
• Ability to review code and suggest improvements
• Proactive in sharing ideas and improving team and personal performance
