Job description
Our client, a hyper-growth FinTech firm, is looking for a Full-stack Security Engineer to join their innovative team. The company offers a range of products including FX risk management, trade finance, currency accounts, international payments, and API integration.
About the Role:
Our client is investing in the expansion of its security engineering team to help with security feature implementations across their entire product portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with application, platform, and product teams to embed security best practices in every deliverable. You will join a team of experienced security professionals with a diverse range of skills and backgrounds.
This hands-on role will present you with many opportunities to work on the technical implementation of security features and controls. You will help develop and drive adoption of Security Engineering Principles, and will be a critical part of a growing security programme, autonomous to action on your ideas and own them from start to finish.
You will report to the Head of Security Engineering and work 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing security features across the product portfolio
- Collaborating with application, platform, and product teams
- Analysing applications, systems, and infrastructure for security risks
- Developing and driving the adoption of Security Engineering Principles
- Applying DevSecOps methodologies and implementing security-as-code
- Providing security input on business and security requirements
Job Requirements:
- Experience in IT full stack development and cyber security
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Understanding of encryption standards, frameworks, and coding best practices
- Hands-on experience with security subsystems, CI/CD pipelines, and application hardening
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Golang or similar modern programming languages
- Experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Knowledge of Linux, TCP/IP fundamentals, and containerisation solutions such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency with version control systems and automation tools
