Job description

This position will begin on the Core Day shift and may move onto an early or late shift pattern in the future.

Job Summary:

• The testing of Ball valves, Butterfly Valves, Solenoid, Non-return valves and Jet pumps using the medium of air/fuel/water/hydraulic fluid.
• The electrical testing of contents transmitters, float switches and level sensors using the medium of fuel and water.
• All testing to be carried out following the production acceptance test schedules as directed by the supervisor.
• The maintenance and care of the test rigs and all test adaptors and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Testing of components to PAT (production acceptance test)
• Ensuring components are handled with care.
• The completion of test reports.
• The health & safety of self and other team members.
• TPM on the test rigs and equipment and 5s in the whole test area

Experience and qualifications required.

• Engineering background.
• Testing experience preferred but not essential.
• The ability to use a PC.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, procedures, and specifications.
• Engineering qualifications preferred but not essential.

Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Core days: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 16:15pm, Friday: 7:30am - 11:30am
Earlies: Monday to Thursday 06:00am to 14:00pm, Friday 06:00am - 13:30pm
Lates: Monday to Thursday 14:00am - 23:45pm

PAYE Contract Rates + Holiday Pay:
Core days £15.76 rising to after 12 weeks to £16.24
Overtime £23.65 rising to after 12 weeks to £24.36
Sundays £31.53 rising to after 12 weeks to £32.48
Earlies (10%) £17.34 rising to after 12 weeks to £17.87
Lates (20%) £18.92 rising to after 12 weeks to £19.49
