Job description

Our client, a renowned civil infrastructure consultancy, is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in London or Watford. This is an exciting permanent position focused on foundation design and slope stability analysis. Currently, the role is full-time in the office but does offer hybrid working capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough foundation design and analysis to ensure structural stability
• Performing detailed slope stability analysis and providing recommendations
• Managing and overseeing on-site geotechnical investigations
• Preparing comprehensive technical reports and presenting findings to clients
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes
• Maintaining high standards of safety and compliance in all geotechnical work
• Mentoring and guiding junior engineers and technical staff
• Engaging with clients to maintain strong professional relationships

Job Requirements:

• Experience in geotechnical engineering focusing on foundation design and slope stability
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it
• Proficiency with geotechnical design software and analysis tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work from either London or Watford office
