Job description

Our client, a prominent company in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled Material Preparation Operator to join their team on a temp to perm basis. This role involves working primarily with hand tools to prepare materials for production. It is therefore essential that you have appropriate levels of fitness. Experience in fabricating and production is key to succeeding in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with a bandsaw, drill, and grinder to prepare steel for fabrication
• Interpreting engineering drawings (training can be provided if necessary)
• Utilising counterbalance fork truck (experience not essential)

Job Requirements:

• Experience in fabricating and production
• Familiarity with using hand tools
• Appropriate levels of fitness due to the practical nature of the role
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and tasks
• Ability to work effectively within a team

Work Hours:

This role follows a schedule from 0800 to 1630, Monday to Friday, including a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks in the morning and afternoon. Full support and training will be provided by our client's Material Preparation team.
