Job Title: CAE Engineer - Automotive Hypercar Project
Job Type: Contract (Outside IR35)
Location: Leamington Spa, UK
Duration: 6-month contract with potential extension to 18 months
Rate: £37 PER HOUR
Working Hours: Full-time, onsite, 5 days a week
Start Date: ASAP
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced CAE Engineer to join our dynamic team working on a prestigious automotive hypercar project. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a strong background in body/chassis non-mechanical CAE analysis. You will be contributing to a cutting-edge project that is already 12 months into development, with a current extension of 6 months and a likely further extension of up to 18 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CAE analysis for the body and chassis components using Ansa and Abaqus software.
- Collaborate closely with the design and engineering teams to optimize component performance and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Provide detailed reports and presentations of CAE analysis results.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any CAE-related issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all analysis and simulations performed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CAE analysis using Ansa and Abaqus.
- Strong understanding of body and chassis engineering principles, particularly in the context of non-mechanical components.
- Proven track record of working on automotive projects, ideally within the hypercar or high-performance vehicle sector.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
- Ability to work onsite in Leamington Spa, 5 days a week.
Additional Information:
- The contract is outside IR35, providing flexibility and advantageous tax arrangements.
- Our target turnaround for onboarding is 7 days, although current experiences suggest this is achievable within 10 days.
- Candidates must be prepared for occasional holiday cover requirements to ensure continuous payment processing.
