Visum Strategic Modeller - Central London

Our client, a multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering services across the UK within the construction, transportation, highways, and infrastructure sectors, is currently seeking a Visum Modeller to join their team in Southwark, London.

Key Responsibilities:

The Visum Modeller role involves leading the development of strategic traffic models, primarily Transport for London's ONE model. Supported by the existing traffic modelling team, you will provide technical expertise and contribute to the future growth of the business. You will have the opportunity to work on high-profile and challenging projects for key clients, directly playing a pivotal role in their delivery.

Our client are currently engaged on a number of very high-profile and challenging projects including Oxford Street and Parliament Square for key clients and there would be the opportunity to become involved in these projects directly and play a pivotal role in their delivery.

The project work that you will undertake will be varied, challenging and often high-profile due to the clients that they work for in Central London and across the UK. This will help ensure that you will enjoy an interesting and satisfying work-life with many opportunities to develop valuable skills and experience.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in using Visum, specifically TfL's ONE model
• Professional work experience, preferably within London
• A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in transport planning, or equivalent professional experience
• Understanding of industry modelling guidance, calibration, and validation techniques
• High numeracy skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Proficiency with MS Office software, especially Excel

Desirable Skills:

• Experience of TfL's Model Auditing Process
• Experience with other software packages such as:
  • PTV Vissim
  • LinSig
  • GIS
  • Paramics
  • SATURN
  • Aimsun
• Python proficiency
• Project management experience
