Job description

Our client, a leading organisation in the nuclear sector, is currently seeking Senior EC&I Engineers to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working on security cleared projects based in Reading, with flexible working arrangements that require on-site presence only two days every two weeks, and the remainder working remotely from home. Candidates must hold live SC Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing electrical control and instrumentation (EC&I) solutions for nuclear projects
• Conducting detailed design and analysis of EC&I systems
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards within the nuclear industry
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives
• Preparing technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and method statements
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members
• Participating in project planning, risk assessment, and mitigation activities
• Conducting on-site inspections and evaluations as required

Job Requirements:

• Experience in electrical control and instrumentation engineering within the nuclear sector
• Current and valid SC Clearance
• Strong understanding of industry regulations and standards
• Proficiency in design and analysis tools specific to EC&I engineering
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Well-developed communication and collaboration skills
• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field
