Job Opportunity: Principal Software Developer

A leading organisation in the sports entertainment industry is looking for a Principal Software Developer to join their Systems team in Southeast London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and develop applications critical to sports entertainment events.
• Innovate and develop new products within a small team.
• Mentor and lead a team of software developers.
• Lead technical projects across multiple domains.
• Design modern software architecture.
• Provide on-site technical support during event weekends.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years in a .Net development environment.
• Experience with event-based architectures (e.g., Kafka, ActiveMq).
• Real-time data processing experience.
• 2+ years with Amazon AWS (Lambda, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB).
• Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).

Skills:

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full-stack .Net development using C#.
• Knowledge of OOP concepts and patterns (MVVM, DI, CQRS).
• Experience with asynchronous/multi-threaded environments.
• Familiar with microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.
• Agile development understanding.
