Job description

Our client, a local authority, is seeking a dedicated Building Control Surveyor to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers an initial contract period of 6 months. As a Building Control Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with building regulations and standards across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting site visits to inspect construction work and ensure compliance with building regulations
• Undertaking plan checks and providing feedback on building control submissions
• Advising on building control issues and resolving any non-compliance matters
• Collaborating with contractors, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports on site inspections
• Providing technical guidance and support to the team and external parties

Job Requirements:

• Experience in building control and ensuring compliance with building regulations
• Strong understanding of current building standards and regulations
• Proficiency in conducting site visits and inspections
• Ability to undertake plan checks and provide constructive feedback
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
