£50K-£74K DOE + £550 a month car/allowance

You will be an experienced E&P Design Engineer with experience of managing teams delivering complex design solutions to 3rd Rail and other Railway E&P Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design process from conception to completion, ensuring all designs meet project requirements and specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Oversee the preparation of design documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Manage design-related risks, identifying and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with Network Rail and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the design team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Ensure all design activities are delivered within budget and on schedule.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Professional membership with a recognized institution (e.g., ICE, MIET, IEE, IMechE).
• Extensive experience in design management within the rail infrastructure sector.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale projects on Network Rail infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of relevant design standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
