Job description
Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team based in Reading. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality management, with essential qualifications and experience in NEBOSH and Grad IOSH, and a solid understanding of CDM regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ policies and procedures in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular HSEQ audits and inspections to ensure adherence to standards.
- Provide expert advice and support on all HSEQ matters to employees and management.
- Monitor and report on HSEQ performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Deliver HSEQ training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive HSEQ management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent (essential).
- Graduate Membership of IOSH (Grad IOSH) (essential).
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with CDM regulations (essential).
- Proven track record in a similar HSEQ role, preferably within a high-risk industry.
- Excellent knowledge of HSEQ legislation and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
