My client, a leading player in the defence sector, is currently seeking a Configuration Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. As a Configuration Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and implementing configuration management processes for defence projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining configuration management plans and processes
• Ensuring compliance with configuration management standards and policies
• Identifying and recording configuration items and maintaining configuration control
• Monitoring and reporting on the status of configuration items
• Facilitating configuration audits and reviews
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to manage configuration changes
• Providing support and training to team members on configuration management processes and tools
• Maintaining documentation and records associated with configuration management activities

Job Requirements:

• Experience in configuration management, ideally within the defence sector
• Understanding of configuration management standards and best practices
• Strong organisational and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with configuration management tools and software
• Relevant qualification in engineering, information management, or a related field
