Job description
Our client, a respected Local Authority in London, is actively seeking a Senior Planning Officer to join their team on a contract basis. This pivotal role offers the chance to significantly contribute to the development management of a broad range of planning applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the processing of some householder, minor, small major and complex planning applications within development management.
- Provide expert planning advice and guidance on major development proposals to stakeholders and clients.
- Collaborate with various internal and external parties to ensure compliance with planning regulations and policies.
- Prepare and present detailed reports to planning committees and other relevant bodies.
- Ensure effective enforcement of planning control when necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation related to town and country planning.
- Support the Development Manager in strategic planning initiatives and projects.
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in Development Management and Town Planning.
- Proven ability to manage complex planning applications and deliver successful outcomes.
- Excellent understanding of the current laws and regulations impacting the planning sector.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexibly with a commitment to hybrid working arrangements.
Contract Details:
