Job description
This role supports the critical supply of encryption hardware to UK and international government, along with the planning of our outsourced production, and manages the specialist in house functions for our electronic assembly lines.
Working with a specialist team of engineers and operational roles aswell as our contract electronics manufacturer this is an exciting opportunity to fulfil a multifunctional role and learn all aspects of manufacturing management.
The day-to-day of the role:
- Management of a small team of specialists test and stock control employees associated with our secure product ranges
- Working with Program managers and the CEM team to plan and co-ordinate production schedules and progress in process work.
- Liaise with the client and CEM purchasing teams to ensure availability of material.
- Be responsible for the security protocols in place to ensure integrity within the CEM and client areas
- Support the quality manager with quality issues and continuous improvement activities, and ensure we have metrics and reporting of OTIF and quality information
- Liaise with customers to support delivery information and on site visits
- Ensure that manufacturing equipment and tools are up to date and managed effectively
- Support specialist build and test regimes
- Document processes and support activities such as new product introduction
What you'll need:
- Experience within an electronics / manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of inventory and stock management
- Supervisory/management experience, or looking to take the next step
- Knowledge/experience of quality performance associated with IPC and ISO industry standards
- Experience managing internal & external partners
- Experience of the use of MRP/ERP systems
