Job description
Our client, a leader in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Part 21 Electrical / Avionics Design Engineer to join their expanding team in Hamburg or Munich, Germany.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Electrical / Avionics Engineering Manager and collaborating with a global engineering team across multiple time zones
- Leading and contributing to design activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
- Conducting certification activities, including on-wing test witnessing, to ensure regulatory compliance
- Compiling, checking, and approving various engineering documents and instructions for continued airworthiness
- Wiring diagrams, wire routing installation drawings, and harness fabrication drawings
- Service bulletins and aircraft/component manual ICA supplements
- Compiling, checking, and approving certification documents to demonstrate compliance with airworthiness requirements
- Electrical load analysis documents, test plans and reports
- Compliance statements, system safety, equipment qualification, and EWIS documents
- Compliance checklists and certification programmes
- Representing the company during customer meetings and providing on-site support during project embodiment phases
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Avionics or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering
- Experience within an EASA Design Organisation or equivalent
- Current or recent employment within the aerospace industry, specifically with an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation, is essential
- Previous experience as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) is advantageous
- Comprehensive knowledge of EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements
- Experience with aircraft interior and avionic modifications
- Proven ability to lead large and complex aircraft modification projects
- High level of attention to detail and professional integrity
- Ability to manage multiple programmes and adapt to varying requirements
- Willingness to develop, mentor, and coach less experienced staff
- Experience navigating OEM data systems for specifications and standards
