Contract Type: ASAP Contract Role (6+ months)
Location: On-site (3 days per week) / Remote (2 days per week)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Design Manager (on site/ Construction) to join our team for the HS2 project. This role requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in high-end construction projects. The ideal candidate will be Chartered and possess extensive expertise in the entire design and planning process, from pre-construction to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the design process for the HS2 project, ensuring all design work meets project specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, contractors, and site management to ensure seamless project integration and execution.
- Conduct thorough reviews to ensure build-ability, explore value engineering options, and analyse potential risks.
- Ensure all quality assurance documentation is complete and accurate, adhering to critical construction standards and industry compliance.
- Maintain a proactive approach to identifying and solving design issues, ensuring the project remains on schedule and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Chartered status is highly desirable.
- Over 10 years of experience in high-end construction projects, with a strong focus on design and planning.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, contractors, and site management.
- Expertise in reviewing build-ability, exploring value engineering options, and analysing potential risks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance documentation and adherence to industry standards and compliance.
