Job description

Our client, a leading company in the cryogenic technology sector, is currently seeking an Operations Manager to join their team in Basingstoke. This is a fantastic opportunity to oversee and optimise operational processes within a growing and dynamic engineering organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining processes, procedures, and work instructions in line with legislation, compliance, and ISO management system requirements
• Managing quality, health, safety, security, and environmental aspects of the business
• Liaising with customers and suppliers to maintain quality operations
• Overseeing daily administration and delegation of facility, warehouse, and logistics operations
• Developing warehouse areas in line with H&S, EMS, and management system requirements and appropriate legislation
• Formulating and managing the capital expenditure budget
• Maintaining and developing the global CRM and overseeing the management ERP system (LM-LV)
• Monitoring stock holding, including slow-moving and obsolete stock
• Liaising with service operations for product returns for service/repair and warranty upgrades for quality purposes
• Managing facility operations including approved contractors, contracts, security, IT, equipment, and F&F maintenance
• Developing and training supply chain, warehouse, and logistics personnel
• Maintaining processes, records and training for Aviation Security requirements
• Performing other duties as required to meet the operational needs of the company

Job Requirements:

• Proven operations management experience
• Working knowledge and understanding of current ISO standards
• Understanding of business processes and audits/compliance
• Excellent analytical and report writing skills
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Excellent organisation, efficiency, and attention to detail
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Team player with integrity and resilience
