Job description


Our client, a prominent company in the water industry, is currently seeking a Project Engineer (Mech) to join their team in the North West. This is a permanent position, primarily focused on wastewater management, based out of the Altham office near Blackburn/Burnley.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing mechanical engineering solutions for wastewater projects
  • Managing and coordinating project activities to ensure timely and within-budget delivery
  • Conducting site assessments and preparing technical reports
  • Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Identifying and addressing project risks and issues
  • Providing technical support and guidance to the project team
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation and records

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in mechanical engineering, particularly within the water industry
  • Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and related mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in using engineering software and tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team
  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
