Main Purpose
Primary responsibility is to provide user experience and user interface design expertise. To ensure all user interfaces delivered are high quality, user friendly, develop and maintain company design standards consistent with the overall product direction.
Working in a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary software delivery team liaising closely with Product Manager, Business Analysts and the Lead Front-End Developer.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand business goals and functional requirements.
- Design of intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Provide design and user experience expertise, advocating user friendly design principals and best practices within the organisation.
- Create design assets e.g. icons to enhance user experience and brand identity.
- Production of estimates for costing and/or planning purposes.
- Contributing to matters relating to the future design and development of the product.
- Must operate in accordance with the company's standards and follow established Project procedures.
- In addition to the above, you will be expected to perform other reasonable duties which may be required from time to time.
Experience:
- Collect and evaluate user requirements with the help of product owners and developers.
- Use storyboards, process flows and sitemaps to illustrate design concepts.
- Proven experience in UI/UX design with a focus on Figma.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
- Experience with responsive and accessible design.
- Experience working in an Agile methodology.
- MS Office experience
Technical Experience:
- Figma
- Adobe or similar graphic design suite
- Awareness of latest advances in your area of technical experience.
Essential:
- A minimum of five years of user interface design experience.
- Passion for user experience design and its impact on users.
- Confident communicator both verbal and written
- Remains calm and objective under pressure
- Acts with integrity and enthusiasm
Desirable:
- React and JavaScript
- HTML, CSS
- Experience in working in Fintech
