Job description

Chelton Limited, a prominent name in the Defence & Security sector, is currently recruiting a Mechanical Engineer for a high-profile defence project. This is a contract position for an initial period of six months, based within the dynamic field of aerospace engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and designing mechanical components using SolidWorks CAD
• Managing product lifecycle using PLM systems
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements
• Ensuring the mechanical integrity and functionality of design solutions
• Conducting and supporting engineering reviews and analyses
• Providing technical input and expertise for defence-related mechanical systems
• Documenting design processes and maintaining quality standards

Job Requirements:

• Expertise in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD
• Experience with PLM
• Understanding of aerospace engineering principles
• Ability to work effectively within contract timelines
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
