Role Overview:
We seek an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Power Electronics Centre of Excellence (CoE) team in Hampshire, UK. The ideal candidate is a technically skilled engineer with leadership qualities, capable of inspiring a cross-functional team and building strong international connections.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct a team of PEMD engineers and projects to achieve goals.
- Monitor team and project performance, fostering a performance-based culture.
- Mentor and coach team members, enhancing technical capabilities.
- Support the Director in strategy development and execution.
- Develop technology roadmaps and project plans.
- Build relationships with engineering and business leaders to drive technology adoption and design methodologies.
- Promote engineering excellence.
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years in electronics design and development.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience.
- Proven leadership and technical skills.
- Project management experience.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to learn new skills and knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in power electronics for safety-critical applications.
- Broad knowledge of power electronics designs and compliance standards.
- Experience in diverse cultural settings with global teams.
- Design for Six Sigma certification.
