Job description
Role for an experienced Implementation Manager for a contract role at Heathrow Airport.
This role will involve providing effective project implementation support and ensuring that appropriate project standards and processes are followed, measured, improved, and reported upon.
The role may involve assisting with several projects for both internal and external clients throughout Heathrow.
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) based at Heathrow, 4 days per week. The role is deemed inside scope for IR35 and therefore is Umbrella PAYE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within agreed and published project processes and standards to support the Project Delivery Practice at Heathrow and other airport sites as required.
- Manage suppliers ensuring that process is followed for the project(s) engaged upon.
- Assist with identifying future demands ensuring that resources/services are obtained to meet the demand for each project.
- Produce regular reports and maintain folders for all projects as requested.
- Ensure the handover of projects to relevant departments is carried out smoothly in a timely manner, and that all "as fitted" documentation is accurately produced.
- Act as the focal point for project coordination with planning supervisors, construction managers, and various airport clients where required.
- Meet with clients to discuss requirements and agree on the scope and project timeline.
- Collaborate with relevant groups within HAL to ensure full 'buy-in' and a successful overall conclusion.
- Provide all necessary documentation to all interested parties upon completion of works to ensure ongoing support of the new install.
Job Requirements:
- Substantial skills and experience in Telecoms or Networking support functions.
- Broad knowledge of specialised telecoms services in an enterprise and service provider environment; airport services experience advantageous.
- Specific knowledge of network products and suppliers is advantageous.
- Experience in real environment deployments is advantageous.
- Formally educated to C&G, HNC or A-level standard.
