Job description
Our client, a Maritime and Defence supplier is looking for a Senior Project Controller to join them on a contract basis at their site in Bristol.
- Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be willing to undergo basic security checks.
- Hybrid working, 1-2 days a week onsite in Bristol.
- £46 p/h Ltd, OUTSIDE IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintenance of Microsoft Project server including:
- Enterprise Resources inc. rates
- Project metadata and enterprise custom fields
- Creation of enterprise workflows
- Interface to Data Warehouse
- Interface to Deltek Cobra
- Interface to Jira
- Develop and take ownership of scheduling processes
- Deliver scheduling support to a range of projects as required
- Assist continuous improvement E3 initiatives in the PMO area.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience creating and maintaining complex work schedules of over 1000 activities using Microsoft Project Server across multiple projects and sites.
- Experience of administering Microsoft Project Server including enterprise resource pools, custom fields and permissions.
- Experience of creating and managing dependencies between master and sub-project schedules
- Sound appreciation of the methods and tools for planning and scheduling of engineering projects including the resource loading and reporting features of Microsoft Project Server
- Conversant with project costing systems and project risk management
- Conversant with the software, systems engineering and / or electronic system development life cycles and the programme management of such projects
- Knowledge and application of Earned Value techniques utilising Microsoft Project software.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerBI and data analysis techniques relating to Microsoft Project and scheduling.
- Experience of line-management within a matrix-based organisation.
