Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a specialisation in MEP and Telecoms to join their team. This contract role offers hybrid working opportunities, with three days in the London office and two days working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with clients, client representatives, and other third parties on commercial issues via CCM, EWN, and NCE, including the agreement of compensation events
• Conducting monthly internal forecasting to show current revenue and costs and forecast.
• Managing pricing and agreeing on changes to contracts for PMI and compensation events
• Overseeing the management and agreement of interim applications
• Updating and managing final account advice and agreement of final accounts
• Reviewing daily shift reports and measuring works completed
• Managing all correspondence and instructions from clients, pricing of quotations, and gathering of supporting evidence such as drawings and invoices
• Reviewing the programme with planners and resource levels

Job Requirements:

• Experience in rail or infrastructure or large projects
• Experience working for a sub-contractor (Tier 2 or 3), handling pricing, and agreeing on changes with Tier 1 or end clients
• Specific experience in MEP or Telecoms, not just civils
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports
• Proficiency in MS Office package (or similar)
• Must hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification
