Job description

Our Control System Integration Client, a leader in the controls and automation sector, is currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working with a range of systems including conveyors, water test, packaging conveyor, baggage conveyors, and postal services. The primary focus will be on commissioning Siemens and Rockwell systems for both individual and bulk package movement within the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commissioning and configuring PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs
• Conducting system tests and ensuring all automation systems are fully operational
• Collaborating with the engineering team to implement controls and automation projects
• Providing technical support and resolving any commissioning issues on-site
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
• Documenting test results and preparing reports for project handover
• Working on projects involving conveyors, water tests, packaging conveyors, baggage conveyors, and postal services

Job Requirements:

• Experience in commissioning and configuring PLCs and HMIs, especially Siemens and Rockwell
• Proficiency in controls engineering within the automation and manufacturing sectors
• Strong technical understanding of conveyor systems and bulk package handling
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve commissioning issues efficiently
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Independent and proactive approach to work
