Our client, a leading organisation in the public sector, is currently seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in construction management to join their team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee construction work ensuring adherence to requirements, operational constraints, time, cost, and quality.
- Deliver assigned projects effectively, managing all aspects from design to construction.
- Lead, coach, and develop a local team to deliver team and personal objectives safely and securely.
- Maintain and promote high standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
- Manage projects with a focus on governance, including compliance and reporting.
- Oversee project resources, including people and finances.
- Lead the planning and execution of tasks and projects as defined in the Work Authorisation Document (WAD).
- Support and initiate change management against the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities, taking appropriate actions.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in construction management, site management, and project delivery.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop a team.
- Ability to maintain high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.
- Understanding of governance, compliance, and reporting mechanisms in project management.
- Knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
- Experience in managing project resources including people and finances.
- Proficiency in risk and opportunity management.
