Job description

BAE - Submarine Solutions (SS) is seeking a Lead Planning, Monitoring & Controls Professional specialised in Planning to join their team in Barrow on a contract basis. This role is within the Defence & Security sector, focusing on submarine solutions. You will play a vital role in project planning, monitoring, and controls, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining project plans using P6 planning software
• Monitoring project progress and reporting on key performance indicators
• Ensuring project controls are in place and adhered to
• Mentoring colleagues within a small-sized team
• Collaborating closely with other project team members and stakeholders
• Adhering to security requirements and ensuring SC clearance is maintained
• Providing accurate and timely updates to the hiring manager
• Supporting hybrid working, with two days on-site every fortnight

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in the use of P6 planning software is essential
• Experience in project planning, monitoring, and controls within the Defence sector
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• Ability to mentor and support colleagues within a small-sized team
• Security Clearance (SC) must be obtained before starting
