Job description

Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Material Provision Co-Ordinator to join their Maritime Services business unit in Portsmouth. This is a 12-month contract role with hybrid working arrangements requiring some on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating the provision of materials for various projects within the Maritime Services unit.
• Ensuring all materials are delivered on time and adhere to the project's specifications and standards.
• Communicating effectively with suppliers and internal teams to manage material orders and inventory levels.
• Maintaining accurate records of material movements and inventory status.
• Conducting regular stock checks and audits to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Supporting the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the materials management process.
• Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assisting with other non-engineering tasks as required within the department.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in materials coordination or a related field.
• Understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software for managing materials.
• Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Security clearance level: BPSS + SC.
