MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To assist in managing the Council's obligations in relation to the daily operations of the Traffic and Road Safety team and ensure this high profile service is delivered promptly and efficiently to members of the public and other organisations.
• To deputise as necessary for the Engineering Manager Highway Development and Traffic.
• To liaise with Councillor's, Community Councils, members of the public,other departments and external bodies over matters of concern relating to traffic and road safety issues and take appropriate action
• To manage and control capital and revenue budgets and advise the Engineering Manager Highway Development and Traffic of any variance.
• To manage projects in accordance with clients briefs and ensure that the requirements of the Project Management Toolkit are adhered to acting as Project Manager when required.
