Job description

Our consultancy client are seeking a Programme Manager to support their Water company client capital delivery framework in the Midlands working on wastewater/emerging technology projects.

As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for leading the full end-to-end delivery of multiple Emerging Technology projects, from strategy and inception through to Go-Live and working with internal teams across capital and commercial services Business and wider company, and external partners.

The role will have approx 3 to 4 Project Managers reporting in to them and report to a client side Delivery manager.

Responsibilities

• As a programme Manager, you will work with Capital Design, Delivery, commercial and Chief Engineer teams and engage key internal and external stakeholders.
• You will be responsible for the successful delivery and implementation of key emerging Technology projects.
• You will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities to transform approaches to Capital Design and Delivery using technology.
• You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of transformational change programmes, drive the identification and management of risks which could impact on the successful delivery of programmes.
• Be an innovative leader, thinking differently and challenging the norm and apply thinking beyond simply a programme management function.
• You will actively participate in communities of practice, external and internal groups to drive company improvements. You will drive pace, by making quick decisions with confidence, recognising that speed in critical to the end clients' success.
• To succeed in this role, you are expected to have smart influencing, commercial drive, clear and quick thinking and personal maturity.

Skills/experience/qualifications

• Character, positivity, and a caring attitude in equal weight.
• You'll come with experience in delivering innovative technology solution, ideally as a startup or in a disruptive environment.
• Capital infrastructure sector experience or similar and this could be in Manufacturing, pharmaceutical, Aerospace, power, and utilities - wastewater experience would be a distinct advantage
• STEM or business qualification.
• Prince2 or APM accredited.
• Proven experience in delivering transformation projects in complex environment.
• Strong planning and implementation skills, focused on delivery of agreed outcomes.
• Experience working with an array of stakeholders, working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and have excellent communication and Leadership skills.
