Job description

We are looking for Manual fitter/turner to assist in our Cable Accessories Department.

Candidates are required to have experience over a range of machines including large manual lathes and radial drills. Fitting experience would be in the assembly of high voltage cable accessories.

Candidates will be manufacturing components for high voltage cable installations over a range of materials predominantly in copper, brass, steel and stainless steel. CNC experience would be desirable but not essential.

Applications from candidates that have served a recognised apprenticeship would be preferred.

Cable Accessories is a dynamic and busy department. The candidate would need to demonstrate a positive and flexible approach to their work , take an active role in continuous improvement , keen attention to details , able to work independently and in a team.

The contract is initially for 6 months but has the potential to last longer depending on order volumes.

Hours: (39 per week)
7.15am - 4.15pm ( Monday - Thursday )
7.15am - 12.15pm ( Friday )

Pay:
£16.78 per hour (PAYE)
