Job description
Job Purpose:
Support the production plan, ensuring delivery of production to set timescales/department targets and to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting and contributing to the Department Strategy and Plan, as appropriate.
- Assisting in ensuring Production support is aligned to business objectives.
- Promoting Visions, Values & Culture within the department.
- Laying out, assembling, installing and maintaining pipe systems, pipe supports and related equipment by following blueprints.
- Measuring, cutting, threading and bending pipes using various tools and machinery.
- Selecting appropriate pipe materials and equipment as per specifications.
- Preparing pipe and component surfaces for cutting, welding and brazing.
- Assembling or securing pipes, fittings, and related equipment per specifications.
- Repairing or replacing damaged ship system components and pipe systems.
- Testing systems for leaks using testing equipment.
- Installing clamps, brackets, and hangers to support piping systems using hand and power tools.
- Complying with all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Passing on and sharing knowledge and skills with apprentices.

The successful candidate must have experience in working in a similar role or a shipyard
Salary
£17.07/h (£32,824 per annum) plus OT paid after 37 hours at x1.4
Standard Hours - Monday to Thursday 0645 - 1615
