Job description
Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Systems Engineer - Tactical Strike Mission Planning Engineer to join their growing team due to project sucess!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical delivery of Mission Planning systems engineering activities, including requirements development, system design, and test procedures.
- Derive requirements and architectures to support the development of future capabilities.
- Oversee the proving and certification of the core Mission Planning product currently in development.
- Understand customer needs and the operational role of the SPEAR EW capability, using this knowledge to influence Mission Planning design.
- Collaborate with other functional domains to deliver outputs to the wider SPEAR Weapon Systems team.
Job Requirements:
- Strong systems engineering capability with experience across the entire systems engineering lifecycle.
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively with multiple functional teams.
- Proficiency in engineering tools and configuration control.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers and end users.
- An understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches.
- An appreciation of the software development lifecycle.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience within the Mission Planning domain.
- Experience in Electronic Warfare.
- Familiarity with the IBM engineering toolset, including Rhapsody, DOORS, Engineering Workflow Manager, and Engineering Test Manager.
