Job description

This permanent role involves a broad range of geotechnical responsibilities, focusing on managing relationships, hands-on design, and technical management across civil sectors, primarily working on structures throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing the Basingstoke geotechnical team
• Developing and maintaining client relationships through regular meetings and excellent communication
• Handling hands-on design and technical management tasks
• Preparing and presenting detailed geotechnical reports and designs
• Overseeing project delivery from inception to completion
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project outcomes
• Driving business development initiatives and contributing to the growth of the organisation
• Providing leadership and mentorship to junior team members

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in geotechnical engineering
• Proven track record in technical management and hands-on design
• Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and design software
• Exceptional client management and relationship-building skills
• Excellent report writing and presentation abilities
• Ability to lead and inspire a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Relevant Chartership status
