Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team, including internal and customer warranty concerns
• Identifying root causes and instigating permanent corrective actions for product quality issues
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues swiftly and efficiently
• Maintaining and updating the company Quality Assurance database (NCR) to reduce non-conformities
• Facilitating a culture of RFT (Right First Time) throughout production via daily MRB (Material Review Board) meetings
• Developing and implementing a strategic Goods Inwards QA inspection process to ensure material compliance
• Recording and systematically reporting all NCR's
• Reviewing and developing task-specific work instructions in collaboration with product development and production support
• Supporting the Purchasing Team and Supplier Quality Engineer by reviewing supplier metrics and performance
• Providing QA performance data for quarterly reports

Job Requirements:

• Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or equivalent qualification
• Experience in a similar QA role within a fast-moving production environment
• Membership of a professional body and professional qualifications advantageous
• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe software, and SAP
• Experience with QMS (Quality Management System) procedures
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience with methods like 6S or 8D
• Understanding and experience of robust QA procedures
• Knowledge of FAIR, PPAP, FMEA, ISO9000, and ISO14001
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to present data effectively
• Excellent analytical skills and understanding of cost and financial impacts
