Our client, a leading company in the oil and gas sector, is currently seeking an Offshore Structural Engineer with expertise in decommissioning to join their team on a contractual basis. This role involves working on the engineering aspects of decommissioning and platform removal projects in an offshore environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting structural analyses and assessments for decommissioning projects
• Utilising SESAM software to perform structural engineering tasks
• Planning and executing platform removal operations
• Preparing detailed engineering reports and technical documentation
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure project success
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Providing technical support during the execution of offshore decommissioning works
• Participating in risk assessment and mitigation planning for decommissioning activities

Job Requirements:

• Experience in offshore structural engineering within the oil and gas sector
• Understanding of decommissioning processes and platform removal
• Proficiency in using SESAM software for structural analysis
• Knowledge of T&I (Transportation and Installation)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

We are very interested in an engineer who holds a proficiency in the usage of the following software: DNVGL SESAM Suite, USFOS, ANSYS, SACS, STAAD and also has demonstrable experience in design/analysis of removing structures in an offshore environment.
