Job description

Our client, a prominent player in the renewables sector, is seeking a dedicated Survey Tender Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is integral in ensuring the successful production and management of tender submissions within the dynamic field of renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing high-quality tender submissions, ensuring adherence to all processes
• Liaising with technical teams to ensure the correct technical approach is proposed to clients
• Negotiating with third-party suppliers and vessel brokers to secure competitive quotations
• Writing and collating proposal documentation from relevant departments
• Pricing tenders and achieving commercially competitive proposals
• Identifying deliverables required for tender submissions and coordinating their production
• Hosting and attending internal and external tender meetings as necessary
• Ensuring efficient handover from tendering to operations, capturing all departmental requirements
• Liaising with the Commercial & Tendering Manager to capture and mitigate risks

Job Requirements:

• Degree qualified in a survey or engineering subject (survey, marine, offshore preferred)
• Experience in offshore survey, engineering, or ROV roles preferred but not essential
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proactive, self-driven, and assertive
• Substantial experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proactive in prioritising own workload and managing assigned areas of responsibility

• Keeping abreast of technical developments within the industry
• Identifying, approaching, and securing new clients
• Managing active client relationships and business development
• Contributing to the development of a competent and qualified team
• Presenting services and capabilities to new and potential clients
• Conducting professional performance reviews of junior staff at regular intervals
• Ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to, as per company manuals
