Job description
Our client, a prominent entity within the nuclear sector, is seeking a skilled Nuclear Construction Manager to join their team in Aldermaston, Reading on a contract basis for 18 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, managing, and monitoring construction work to ensure project objectives are met effectively and safely.
- Coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of tasks.
- Adhering to construction environment, safety, and health regulations and legislation.
- Ensuring compliance with asbestos regulations.
- Maintaining and updating risk registers.
- Implementing and following CDM (Construction Design and Management) Regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in the build environment, with a proven track record in successfully managing construction projects.
- Relevant qualifications in construction or build environment (e.g., NVQ Level 6, ONC, HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent).
- Exceptional knowledge of construction safety and health regulations.
- Possession of Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or NEBOSH Construction accreditation, or a suitable equivalent.
- Holding an industry recognised safety scheme card (e.g., CSCS Manager's card, CCNSG Safety Passport card, or equivalent).
- Security Clearance: DV from day one.
