Job description
Job Title: Project Manager (Network Rail Experience)
Location: London, UK
Job Type: Permanent
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days working from home)
Salary Range:
- Scheme Project Managers: £45,000 - £55,000
- Project Manager £55,000 - £65,000
- Senior Project Managers: Up to £75,000
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Network Rail projects, specifically in track renewals and station upgrades. The successful candidate will manage and deliver high-quality rail infrastructure projects within the London area, ensuring all works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of rail infrastructure projects, with a focus on track renewals and station upgrades.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure project milestones are met.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
- Ensure all works comply with Network Rail standards and regulations.
- Engage with stakeholders, including Network Rail, contractors, and local authorities, to maintain positive working relationships.
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in project management within the rail industry, specifically with Network Rail projects.
- Strong understanding of track renewals and station upgrades.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Network Rail standards, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP) are desirable but not essential.
