Job description

Our client is currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector to join their team in Essex. This permanent role is geared towards residential projects, with particular commercial projects also included. The workload allows for the addition of a new inspector, providing an excellent opportunity for career development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting inspections of residential and commercial buildings to ensure compliance with building regulations
• Providing detailed reports and recommendations based on inspections
• Collaborating with construction teams to ensure project specifications are met
• Offering expert advice on Building Control to various stakeholders
• Ensuring timely and accurate documentation of all inspections and findings
• Liaising with local authorities and clients to address any issues or concerns
• Maintaining knowledge of current regulations and industry standards
• Supporting other team members and contributing to a collaborative work environment

Job Requirements:

• Experience in Building Control within residential and commercial sectors
• Strong understanding of building regulations and standards
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in report writing and documentation
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Relevant qualification in Building Control or related field
