Job description

Joining a well-established IT Infrastructure Support team, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking an Infrastructure Engineer job role that can offer progression and technical development. This is not a Senior level role and is more suited to a Junior Infrastructure Engineer looking for progression.

You will be part of a team that help deliver and support technical infrastructure solutions to meet client needs. This role requires an individual interested in a broad range of technologies with some level of experience in areas like Linux administration, virtualisation, cloud engineering, networking, Windows, monitoring, automation.

You will work with both internal and external customers building and delivering infrastructure for technical systems, whilst also providing ongoing support and maintenance within an ITIL framework to systems that have moved into service.

Some of the tasks involved in include:

• Perform routine tasks associated with operating and controlling installed hardware and software across multiple platforms.
• Use standard procedures and tools to carry out system backups and restore data as necessary.
• Conduct monitoring, logging, and reporting tasks, acting on known errors and documented workarounds.
• Use network management systems tools to collect routine network load and model performance statistics.
• Manage data and other items required for processing work, ensuring proper movement, storage, and dispatch.
