  • Client & Project Liaison: Work closely with sub-contractors, clients, and project team members to achieve project objectives.

Occasional Responsibilities:

  • Remote Data Acquisition: Handle remote data acquisition and processing of multibeam echo sounder (MBES), side-scan sonar, and shallow SBP sensors.
  • Survey System Setup: Assist in the configuration of hardware and software prior to vessel mobilization.
  • Support & Planning: Aid the Lead Geophysicist in planning and resource allocation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential:

    • Degree in Geoscience or Geophysics.
    • Minimum of 4 years of marine survey experience.
    • Proficient in side-scan sonar, magnetometer, and shallow sub-bottom sensor data processing.

    • Strong computer literacy and configuration of sensor equipment.
    • Positive, proactive attitude with keen attention to detail.
  • Desirable:

    • Coding and scripting experience (Python, C/C++, MATLAB).
    • GIS experience (Global Mapper, QGIS, ARC GIS, AutoCAD).
    • Experience in bathymetry data acquisition and processing.
    • Familiarity with marine survey data acquisition and processing software (e.g., QINSy, Qimera, EIVA).
    • Relevant marine qualifications (e.g., Yachtmaster, Coastal Skipper, ICC).

Benefits:
