Job description
Our client, a distinguished entity in the manufacturing and engineering sectors, is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Hull. The role involves on-site work, with flexibility around working hours, and is conveniently located within walking distance from Hull station.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct site maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent performance
- Develop and implement comprehensive site maintenance procedures
- Ensure all site equipment is compliant with safety legislations, testing, and inspections
- Analyse and resolve issues through root cause analysis and fault-finding techniques
- Perform equipment repair as required and maintain detailed records
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
- Support project plans, including site preparation work, equipment installation, commissioning, and technical training
- Collaborate with teams to support repairs as needed
Job Requirements:
- Experience in mechanical engineering and manufacturing, particularly with extrusion processes
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiency
- Experience in injection moulding is advantageous
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
