Role Overview:

As a Clerk of Works, you'll be the eyes and ears on-site, meticulously checking that the contractor's work aligns with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Your role is essential in maintaining the integrity of our projects and ensuring successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance: Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and industry standards.
• On-Site Oversight: Be present on-site as needed, conducting regular inspections and documenting progress.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of work completed, measurements, and any deviations from plans.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and contractors to address any issues promptly.
• Assist Implementation: Support the Engineer in project implementation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
• Materials Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of construction materials and techniques to assess work quality.
• Teaching and Guidance: Mentor less experienced team members and provide guidance on best practices.

Requirements:

• Experience: Extensive experience as a Clerk of Works or similar role, ideally within civil engineering or construction projects.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for spotting discrepancies and ensuring precision.
• Materials Knowledge: Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication with contractors, team members, and stakeholders.
• Flexibility: Willingness to be on-site as needed, adapting to project schedules.
• CAD Skills (Desirable): Ability to assist with engineering tasks and use CAD software during quieter periods.
